Rodge doesn't just do miniatures! I recently made it to the 3rd round in the Toastmasters Humorous speech contest, ultimately getting 2nd place to Mr. Fancypants here. Good luck to him in the next round!

Things a bit slow at the lodge... waiting on a light box before I take more pics.
In other news, the chinese will be declaring 2008 the Year of the Rodge. I attended Bugman's Oktoberfest warhammer tournament this last weekend and walked away with yet another overall award. 3 tourneys this year, 3 big wins. Luck of the Rodge or something else?

I attended the Hillbilly 2008 GT this weekend and was crowned Overall Champion!

Victory!
I attended the Midwest Rampage 3 this weekend and came away with the Overall Champion award for the 2nd year in a row!
I used the Dogs of War again but only painted 1 new unit, the Goblin Hewer. Pictures of it will appear with my next big update.

I attended Adepticon 08 this last weekend but did not take any video coverage unfortunately!
The only event I competed in was the team tournament, using 1000 points of brand new army goodness. Johnny and I came close to another overall victory but were thwarted in round 3!
I will post pics of my new Warhammer army as well as my WarGods Wendigo warband in the next few weeks!

I won 2nd best appearance at the Hillbilly GT this year. The Hillbilly, held in Little Rock, is the largest tournament in the United States! It was an awesome time. Very inspiring! (Not my picture, obviously.)

I won the award for Overall Champion with my Dogs of War at the Midwest Rampage! It was an awesome time and I did catch some of it on film. Video coverage will follow shortly so check back!

Adepticon coverage is finally up! I had a great time at the event, taking home the Overall Champion award for the team tournament along with my good buddy Johnny Hastings! I am will be updating the site with some exciting new content in the near future so check back soon!
Unfortunately for Manny pictured below, I did not fare as well in the Singles Tournament. He let me down at two crucial moments and I won't be fielding him for some time.
Currently finishing up the last of my Dogs of War for Adepticon. Only 10 days to go! My pace has been feverish but I'll still have to take a couple days off work to finish everything most likely! Pictured below is one of the few models that has yet to see some paint, Ol' Manny the Maneater.
The games for the Fantasy Championships are 2300 points and I can just squeeze him in. All that's left to do on him is some kind of icon for the medallion. If you have any ideas, drop me a line at alfonziknov@hotmail.com

The latest news is the big warhammer tournament I ran on Jan 13th and 14th. I've run it every year for the last 5 years although this is the first time it was over two days. I spent alot of time building 20 gaming tables for our local hobby shop, Jadeco Stamp & Hobby, and the response I received was phenomenal!
Definitely worth the hard work I put into it. I'm already planning for next year!
